Belmonte shoots perfect game and leads the field in QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup

First 300 game
Jason Belmonte of Australia leads the field in the men’s section of the 47th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Johannesburg on 1278 over five games – a 255 average.
His score included the tournament’s first 300 game, though Daichi Teshima of Japan had come close in the earlier squad but was beaten by a stubborn 10 pin which refused to fall leaving him on 299.
Kimmo Lehtonen of Finland is lying in second on 1209 with Ben Fischler of Israel on 1184 just ahead of the USA’s Tommy Jones on 1182.
An amazing 47 men are averaging over 200, with the mark for the top 24 currently being a 216.6 average, and occupied by 15-year-old Alexandr Panchenko of Kazakhstan.
The defending champion, Michael Schmidt of Canada, is in 19th place on 1097.
There are a further 15 games to play before the field will be cut to the top 24 with the finals taking place on 7th December.
